about

The fourth single from Susan's Boy.

The video for this song features a stunning performance by the gorgeous Kwaku Mills.

I played all my music to Kwaku ahead of my first release last year and he really responded to UNI. We had a great chat about the sort of brief but intoxicating experiences within queer nightlife spaces which inspired this song, resulting in Kwaku delivering a perfect one shot performance.

It's such a pleasure to see my music filtered through someone else's gaze, particularly someone as talented as Kwaku!

lyrics

Slack jaws,
Sweat drips,
Spilt drinks,
Loose hips,
The sun burns,
The sound dips,
My smoke hits and your hand slips.

And it’s you and I.

Until the crowd makes us split,
With new smiles and new fingertips,
Don’t go,
Stay a bit,
And just stare into my eyes.

And it’s you and I.

I’m floating on a summer breeze,
Forget the sleaze for now.
I’m seeing stars in the dawning sky.
I feel so high, bring me down.
Bring me down.

And it’s you and I.
